Integrated Accessories

Integrated accessories for stone worktops, bathrooms and bespoke interiors

Stone surfaces often need to do more than simply look good. They may also need to include power, lighting, appliances and other practical features without making the finished design feel busy or interrupted. At Bath Granite & Marble, we fabricate stone worktops, splashbacks, wall panels and bespoke stone details with integrated accessories planned into the design from the start. This can include hob cut-outs, socket openings, pop-up sockets, charging points and lighting grooves. These details may seem small, but they make a real difference to how a space works day to day. The aim is not only to make them fit properly, but to make them feel like part of the surface rather than an afterthought.

Hob Cut Outs

Hob cut-outs are one of the most common details in a stone worktop, but they still need careful planning. The opening needs to be accurate, well positioned and properly finished so the hob sits correctly and the surrounding stone feels balanced.

Whether the hob is gas, induction or electric, the cut-out needs to suit both the appliance and the layout of the worktop. When done well, it feels neat, practical and fully part of the design.

Wall Sockets

Wall sockets can be incorporated into stone splashbacks, upstands and wall panels to give easy access to power without breaking up the overall look of the space.

Their position needs to be measured carefully so they work well in everyday use and still sit neatly within the wider design. When planned properly, they feel useful, tidy and well placed rather than disruptive.

Pop-Up Sockets

Pop-up sockets are a discreet way to add power to islands, breakfast bars, desks and other stone surfaces where wall sockets may not be practical.

Because they sit within the worktop itself, the position and housing need to be considered during fabrication. They are especially useful in contemporary spaces where power is needed, but the surface still needs to feel clean and uncluttered.

Wireless Charging Points

Integrated wireless charging points allow compatible devices to charge through the stone surface without cables or chargers sitting visibly on top.

This can be a useful feature in kitchens, bars, home offices and other spaces where people want everyday convenience without extra clutter. To work well, the charging point and the stone thickness need to be considered together during fabrication.

Integrated Chargers and USB Points

For projects that need a more traditional charging solution, USB points and integrated chargers can be built into stone surfaces or adjoining panels.

These details are useful where phones, tablets, speakers or smaller appliances need regular access to power. The aim is to make charging easy to use without making the overall design feel awkward or overcomplicated.

LED Lighting Groves

LED lighting grooves can be built into splashbacks, island overhangs, floating shelves and wall features to add a softer layer of light.

They are often used to highlight the shape, texture or veining of the stone, while also adding useful lighting to the space. The groove needs to be positioned and finished carefully so the detail feels deliberate and works naturally within the overall design.
